Biography:
Andy has worked in international development and volunteerism for over 20 years, the last 14 of which have been with GVI. With a blend of field experience across Africa, UK and Latin America and almost a decade at the forefront of GVI Andy is well versed in what makes a successful organisation tick in this sector.
He has experience advising the UK government on marine based tourism, the International Ecotourism Society (TIES) on Voluntourism and WYSE Work and Volunteer Abroad, through both the volunteer working group and the advisory panel. With TIES and WYSE WaVA Andy has contributed to ongoing research and best practice guidelines with the on-going aim to promote the positive benefits of international volunteerism.
