Thank you for participating in the WYSE educational sessions at ITB Berlin 2017.
Workshop speakers, panellists, and moderators will find useful information here regarding the WYSE sessions at ITB Berlin.
Panel discussions
Objective:
WYSE panel discussions cover current issues and topics of interest to professionals in the tourism industry in general, but aim to focus in on youth and student-specific issues.
Location:
- WYSE panel discussions take place on the ITB Berlin Stage in the Hall 4.1.
How panellists and moderators can prepare:
- Review the slides, session outline and questions prepared for your discussion.
- Get to know your co-panellists and their organisations.
- Prepare a brief introduction of your organisation and role.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the session for sound check and introductions.
- Anticipate potential questions that may arise during Q&A and consider how to best field these.
Workshops
Objective:
WYSE workshops are short and informal sessions intended to share practical knowledge, best practice, case studies, and research findings with professional peers of youth, student and educational travel companies.
Location:
WYSE workshops take place at the WYSE stand (102) in the Hall 4.1
How workshop speakers can prepare:
• Prepare a 15-20 minute presentation that allows for 5-10 minutes of Q&A with a small group.
• Include practical tips that motivate attendees to take new ideas forward in their own business context.
• A WYSE-branded, 16:9 PowerPoint template has been provided; if you prefer to use your own, please ‘top and tail’ it with WYSE slides.
• Presentation slides should be in .ppt or .pdf format.
• Prepare your presentation notes separately; you will not be able to view a laptop during your workshop.
• Plan your presentation independent of Internet connectivity; there will not be a reliable Internet connection at the WYSE stand.
• Video in your presentation must be embedded and less than 30 seconds. Consult with Wendy Morrill if your video requires sound.
• A flat screen TV, wireless remote and mic will be provided.
• Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of your workshop; please be mindful of the walking distances at ITB Berlin.
• Submit your final presentation to Wendy Morrill before Friday, 3 March.
